Mike Danton sentenced to 7 1/2 years in jail
Former St. Louis Blues forward Mike Danton was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison on charges of attempted murder. The apparent target of Danton's conspiracy was his long time agent David Frost. The sentencing puts this saga back in the spotlight as most experts believe the strained relationship between Danton and Frost led to these actions by the 24 year old hockey player. A federal jury has already acquited Danton's girlfriend Katie Wolfmeyer of charges she helped Danton in the plot. His lawyers are expected to file a plea to have Mike serve his prison term in Canada where he has a much better chance of receiving early parole.
