Jose Theodore

Montreal Canadiens goalie Jose Theodore is back in the news. It seems that the law enforcement agencies in Quebec have seized $85,000 from Jose's safety deposit box. This box was apparently shared by Jose with his father Ted, who along with his four half brothers and a dozen other people are currently under investigation for loan sharking and other organized crime type offences. So far, the police have stuck by their original stance of not naming the Habs goalie as a suspect.

Cujo or the Dominator?

So it looks like the Red Wings are going to go ahead and sign Dominic Hasek tomorrow. Of course the main topic of discussion will be what happens with Curtis Joseph. Many will recall what happenned when the Toronto Maple Leafs signed Joseph a few years ago, even though they already had a starting goalie in Felix Potvin.

Potvin sat around as the backup for a few months, before being dealt to the New York Islanders. It looks like Joseph will be on the other side of a similar trade. The question now is where will he end up? [Read More!]

Avalanche sign Kariya and Selanne

The Avalanche pulled off a major coup signing Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne to one year deals last week. The pair took a pay cut (especially Kariya who signed for $1.2m) to play together in Colorado. So how do Forsberg - Hejduk - Tanguay and Kariya - Sakic - Selanne sound as the first two lines? Not bad I would say! [Read More!]
